About

Alexander Macdonald

PhD, LCSW

I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker who has a PhD in social work and a Master of Social Work degree both from the University of Kansas. As an active duty counselor in the USAF for nearly 20 years, I have engaged with hundreds of individuals, couples and families as they have worked to address such things as anxiety, depression, shame, vulnerability, phase of life issues, grief and loss, relationship concerns, communication challenges, and anger management.

I provide counseling for those who are seeking a journey of discovery. Often we find ourselves in a place where we do not want to be and we are not sure where we can turn for help. It is at these troubling times that we seek for guidance and assistance. If you would like to start down a road of personal discovery and make positive changes in your life, contact me now to begin a new chapter in your life.

My counseling style is warm, genuine, and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, solutions focused, and supportive therapy. Together we will develop a treatment plan, with goals you have, to meet your individual needs.
